I have noticed how my attention span has suffered over the years. I can’t even listen to this short video without scrolling through the recommended or jumping into comments. Now I have to watch it again.

“Scarcity has value” that’s why being killed by a mass murderer has so much inherent value, it just doesn’t happen enough.

Agreed with these points Art of Improvement. Attention is, alongside time, one of the most important factors in our lives.

You're giving away my Superpower. I have always been able to give all of my attention to whatever I am doing at the moment. I had a professor in College who said "treat every person or situation like you are an EOD and you're trying to figure out if you should cut the Green or the Red Wire, because literally nothing else is important and you have the rest of your life to figure it out."

Now I understand "I am so poor I can not even afford to pay attention."

2:17 Mentioning Kim Kardashian in a time management lesson is so.. weird.

Just wanted to add - “Getting Things Done” was originally written in 200, but updated and revised in 2015 to account for modern technology and other things. It was not written in (nor arguably for) the 20th century.

Seems like a meditator made this video! Intense deconstruction of mindfulness!

Is this the reason why so many people currently have such a hard time assessing risk because there's so much coronavirus information overload. Does anyone else find it interesting that there is such a lack of trust of experts now?

Great content! Questions:
- does the 2 focus activities per day only apply to after-work hours?
- and I abhor waking up early. Not a question, just saying.
- and can you switch between the 2 focuses during the day freely or do you just split your time, first half on one project, second half on the other?
- this is a comment: I dont do social media so I dont have attention issues with those algorithmic devils, but I do watch particular content on youtube and other info news sites, working with the algorithms to extract what I want from the platforms. I think the algorithms are great when used as tools and not being tooled by them mindlessly.
