Can we be IMMORTAL in Terraria Calamity Mod? (100% Damage Reduction?)

Can we become immortal and unkillable in Terraria Calamity mod? Is reaching 100% Damage Reduction possible? This video will show you the answer to it!

The Calamity mod Damage Reduction scaling formula is: 1 - 1⁄(1 + dr)
For example, if the player has 25% DR, it will be scaled to 1 - 1⁄(1 + 0.25) = 0.2, or 20% DR.

Random thing to say: in Fargo multiplayer, it is possible to achieve 100% DR through a glitch I don't know how to replicate.

Soul of eternity it's literally every armor, every weapon, every accessory, every potion, critter, painting, etc etc

And if you get the dlc, it also includes modded items inside that long passives list

To be fair with the boss rush, even if you beat Calamitas with just Calamity gear, the Devourer of Gods likely would have snapped you in two. If God Mode can't stop him, nothing can.

in Qwerty's bosses and items there is a pre-HM item named "Doppelganger" (it's a drop from Noehtap), which replicates the accessory above it. By having the soul of eternity and it equipped, I had a grand total of 24k hp, along with more than 1000 armor and enough DR and regen to tank through the boss rush with a stardust dragon. Get this: I can AFK the boss rush.
Also, even pre-SoE I could farm DoG with 14 sec/kill(12 of which is the duration between phases), just use an endgame summon and DoG dies faster than it can fly in from offscreen.

Tanky doesn't necessarily mean high defense and defense only, because mixing both DR and Defense can be better than the highest defence in the game

the alchemistNPC mod has an item thats very rare, but can completely erase the meatballs. its called counter-matter, and its easy to get while farming in the dungeon or the acid rain.

I'd REALLY love for you to do more testin with Fargo's. Like, of course the soul of eternity is hella OP. But what about the other souls? Is there a good, realistic combo that you can get before SCal?

If anyone missed it, SCal regarded the experience as a cheat, and went "go to hell", which meant no drops except potions.

Might be better to disable all of that clutter, and just stick with the defensive buffs.

Seriously, most of them are permanently active, some activate from movement, there's pets, there's projectile enhancements, etc.

Unless you have a computer that can run all of that, you're fine with not being able to comprehend anything at all, and aren't playing Calamity, then go ahead.
