I took your advice and started a YouTube channel. Never thought about how much time actually goes into it. I appreciate all the hard work everyone does and all the time that goes into making videos. Also, eating out does indeed cost a lot.

I almost fainted when you said you spent $120 on margaritas.

Do you have a video on getting started with a finance channel/equipment required and tips for editing? I really enjoy this genre as well and would like to start a side hustle and hopefully turn it into something

Not me writing a comment on the video super early even though I don’t have time to actually watch it and I’m gonna watch it later, but I just wanted to show up early again lmao

new /used car is a hard thing for me. So many advantages of new cars over used cars but then money comes into play. Not asking for financial advice but what circumstances would you say you had to be in to get a new car or you will just always buy used cars to save money?

Some really good tips here, though your suggestion to mooch Netflix makes me cringe a bit. That aside, living simply and not taking on unnecessary debt like excessive car payments is excellent advice. One thing I wish you'd explore a bit more is the benefit of being financially independent in terms of how it allows you to be more generous. That is, if our sole purpose for our money is to make ourselves more comfortable, that's pretty shallow. But if our intention in gaining wealth is to change the future for our family, particularly our children, I think that lends purpose to wealth accumulation and leads to greater satisfaction.

Good stuff man! I had made it to my 30’s before I ended up with a car payment. I just got it paid off back in April. I paid it off about 2 years early. I don’t think a car payment is a terrible thing especially if it frees up cash for you to invest for a better return since interest rates are so low. I wish I had been a lot smarter with my finances and started investing when I was young, however at the time there wasn’t online brokerages except E*TRADE which I have now and it’s thankfully free but it wasn’t at first. I do credit Robinhood for that. I hope it stays that way.

Great video! agree 110% with you on all this. sadly i still pay for a gym membership i havent been using due to a car accident i was involved in. Like you said too lazy and i havent canceled it. But i do plan on getting back in and train when able to. A side hustle is something i am definitely looking to add into my life. I wouldnt mind seeing side hustle jobs you recommend doing ina video. Im sure alot of us could take some valuable info away from it.
