I use saline contact lotion to make mascara last longer. Add 3 four drops to slightly dried up mascara 👍🏻

Great tips! thanks! I'm guilty of buying the same color of lipstick, lip balm, lip gloss. I caught myself today thinking I wanted a new lipstick but rummaged through my current stash and discovered I have enough in that color. In general I have adopted a "don't buy until you run out" or "until it's too old to wear" attitude because I know that I have enough and need to be a more conscious consumer.

Do invest in a little "spatula" utensil to get the last bits out of the bottle. Amazing how many more usages you will have left using this spatula, when previously you would have discarded that bottle. Thank you Gemma for all your advice. I really enjoy your channel. I remember years ago switching purses and pulling out several different tubes of lipsticks, all from different brands and every one was nearly the same color. What I considered a My Lips but Better shade I guess. Good to know I’m not alone!

good tips! :)
i would add:
1) foundation: apply w fingers (v brush or sponge), or if you want to use a brush: dab foundation on your face with fingers and only use the brush to distribute. saves so much product!
2) remind yourself that products (lipstick, blush) might look different when swatched on your arm but translate very similarly onto your lips/cheeks, i.e. you probably don’t need that new peachy blush when you’ve already got ten peachy blushes :)

Great video! I wanted to save money as well. I took inventory of my makeup and have been using what I have, not buying new until it’s gone. I purchase lots of Elf products, but won’t skimp on my foundation, because I found my holy grail. It’s obscene how much makeup I had piled up in my drawer. I am a frugal person, but now I am even more so these days. You’re such a delight! Thank you for all you do..I love it when you and your mum make me smile and laugh as well! ❤❤❤

I am also guilty of having too many lipsticks and many are in the same shade range. I have been bad lately with blushes, but I have a wider variety of shades. I definitely have enough for quite a while. I like having two foundations. One with medium coverage and another with sheer to light coverage for more casual "outdoorsy" wear. I have swapped gently used items with friends who are careful and clean with their products. You can sanitize powder products, sharpen down pencils, and products in tubes or with pumps should be safe. That goes for fragrances, too. 😊

Like you, I generally buy the same lipstick shade, pinky-brown. But, when it comes to shoes, clothes, bags, I will buy every colour of something I like comes in. 😊

I give samples I won't use and products that don't suit my skin etc to my friend who is always greatful for the donations. I buy a mixture of products that suit me so they can be super cheap Boots Natural collection mascara £3? to Dior Foundation £42? . I also have some mid range and standard Boots stuff Revlon foundation for everyday. I love the Lancome concealer but again have a Revlon one too. Guilty of many nude type liquid lip products 😂.

I have a Superdrug and Boots card. If I need a product I go there first to see if I have enough points to get it for free! A tip for buy one get one free offers is if you have a friend that uses the same as you go halves on the price and you are not over stocking. I also have invested in little screw top pots and take them into stores to get free samples of foundations. Also I ask for products I use on a regular basis for Christmas and birthdays. I am lucky that I am a June baby so when my birthday stuff runs out I can ask for more for Christmas!x

One great tip for any online shopping is to sign up to a cashback scheme like Quidco. It’s amazing how it accumulates, I’ve literally had £100’s by shopping that way 👍🏼

Australian follower here & yes we’re being impacted by the cost of living crisis also. I now only buy what I need when I need it unless I see something I use (ie skincare) at 50% off then I’ll buy & put it in the cupboard. I also have rewards cards for stores I frequent regularly & will save my rewards money to use at Christmas time which saves me so much money

i also use honey and microsoft edge which give my current offers and can usually save 5-15% per time, Honey also gives free vouchers when you aquire enough points for places like amazon etc hope this helps x
