I think that people shouldn't only think about what a kid can bring to their life, but specifically what they can contribute to a kid's life. Many people have kids that they aren't raising right because they don't keep books, instruments, art supplies in the house and instead just put them on a tablet and ignore them. They don't bring them outside into nature, out to parks, libraries etc... you have to really think about what childhood you want to give your kids before you have them. The gap between well-raised and poorly raised children is growing every year, i know kindergarten teachers who complain about this because they have kids coming in who can already read along with kids who cannot recognize the ABCs and cannot speak clearly.

I dont understand this obsession with making people have kids when they don't want to. Then, when they have kids and don't raise them right, you'll be the very one talking about how mediocre the kids are being raised. "They're being raised by internet"(that segment Matt had the other day), etc. And when that person is struggling to raise that child, you'll be nowhere to be found. When that child carjacks your mother on her way home from work you'll be talking about how people shouldn't be parent and how you hope that person doesnt procreate.

The one thing I will never in a million years agree with Matt Walsh on. When I do my jobs and go into homes where people have children and their lives are clearly a mess and a struggle I feel genuinely sorry for them. There simply is no room in my everyday life and struggle to put kids. It would literally ruin me. That's not even taking into consideration the current state of the world and what it could turn your kids into. I'm not religious yet I feel I need to pray for those with kids these days...also... these days your kids will end up living with you until they're 40. You won't be free. Enjoy that.

As someone who teaches 20 4/5 year olds Monday-Friday, I know for sure I don't want children. No one can convince me to ever have kids.
