When I'm editing videos for a client, I often need to remind myself to step away from my computer and take a moment to rest - when I revisit a video, I always find new edits to make, and I don't feel as burnt out.

I usually edit long form podcasts for clients and what personally works for me is taking a short break after every pass.
1st pass - rough cut
2nd - mark interesting parts for episode trailer + refine edit + mark B-roll
3rd - B-roll + review final cut
4th - clean audio, colour correct and export

Never doubt yourself add sound effects gif and any short clip in middle to make sense in your words also it will make video more interesting

My "know what time to break the flow state" is always and inevitably when adobe premiere freezes, lags, moves a menu item due to update, crashes, doesn't use 100% of my awesome GPU to render and instead uses my CPU so I have to learn how to flow-state as a nvidia control panel list goes ON - I dream of having just pure flow state no renders wait times, no loading, ahhhh
