You'll watch an entire Netflix show even when the first episodes are slow and boring just because someone told you "it gets better." *But what if you looked at your goals like that and watched your life get better instead?*

1. write down distractions u have when trying to study
2. build attention span: start timer and stop when u start becoming unfocused
time recorded should be starting length of study sessions - take breaks between intervals (do not sit at ur study space, use ur phone in those breaks)
*** go into work mode at ur workspace
complete each task (break into small chunks) and take short breaks in between
3. film urself studying
4. create a distraction free study space
(no flamboyant deco etc)
write goals and put them infront of u too
5. dont just read (make questions, underline important points, make summaries)

I love how you put a warning before there’s an ad, it definitely makes me more willing to watch it without skipping because you state that it helps you! Very clever XD

I lose my focus dreaming about my future self, my future house, my future job (my future life partner🙄), and bring myself back to reality when I realise that I've wasted a lot of time...
This video is helpful, thank you Faye, I would definitely try your secret weapon 😉

I SWEAR I’VE BEEN RECORDING MYSELF WHILE STUDYING & IT ALWAYS WORKS! You’ll feel like someone is watching you that’s why you’ll gonna do your tasks in time. I also try to explain my lessons in front of my phone to analyze them better😆 I also do the promodoro technique! work for 25 mins & 15 mins break. 🌿try to unwind every weekend as well 🍃

This happens to me a lot not only when I'm studying! I often catch myself thinking about tv series that I'm watching, have watched, conversations that I had and hypothetical scenarios. Sometimes it's so deep that I don't answer to people when they ask me something! It's insane

The reason why I daydream so much is either 1) I have ADHD (which I'm not diagnosed yet but I REALLY feel like I do) and 2) I'm a maladaptive daydreamer and whenever I daydream I get too focused on it that I couldn't track the time (especially when my daydream is so good that I don't want to stop). The worst one I had was 2 hours of simply daydreaming in my room lol. This video hits home. Thank you!

As a person with ADHD none of the expensive therapy sessions helped me study as much as your videos. I can see my work getting better and better every day. This satisfaction keeps me even more focused on my goals. Ty sooo much for your videos❤️❤️❤️❤️

I think the quarantine is what has damaged me to a great extend because keeping up with the online lessons for seven hours straight is actually a lot harder than I thought. The distractions are too many and now I am not able to focus entirely even just for a few minutes. I blame myself too, I use my phone way too much as I am an editor and it has become 10 times harder for me to get away from it. Since I've realized that my school performance is not so good (in my point of view) I just needed some solutions because honestly I am desperate :'). Thank you so much for this video I watched it last night and I will try your methods, I will come back and let you know how it went since I have 4 exams coming up! :D

I studies for 4 hours daily ( excluding revisions ) i started to day dreaming after 3 hour of studing, it was really a problem but i had found a solution that is whenever I starts daydreaming, i should close my books and start completing my pending work so my brain will be drifted into smth new and for me it really works, After some minutes of writing i can switch myself to studing, i can complete my syllabus without getting distracted !!

As an expert in the field of learning disabilities and ADHD I must say how impressed I am of what you're showing here, especially the unique tios. The filming tip is especially brilliant. I'm going to share this video with students teachers I work with.

I'm 18 now, and I've always been pretty bad at sitting and alotting to time to studying because I always found it to be such a drag. Of course, now, I'm paying the price and I'm now doing my GCSEs for the 3rd time to fix my grades again. Every year I feel myself getting better, just barely, but this time I'm ready to have something to show for it. For me in the long term and for me in a week, I'm trying really hard to give her the present she deserves and the present I wish my past self could have provided me with now.
