I remember when i was like 7 and i was in Berlin and didnt know anything about the Wall or Why it was there

I did know all of that I read the books and night divided and it took 28 years to tore it down and don’t forget checkpoint Charlie the reason how I know this all is because someone came in our classroom today and he was there when the wall got taken down and that stuff when he had a piece of the Berlin Wall

They didnt tear down the wall. There were just so many people at the border gates that the DDR government was forced to open them at around 11pm I think, due to sometimes even thousands of people wanting to get out at single border gates. The official end of the DDR was on 3 October 1990 however when it officially reunited with the BRD, the reason why the "Tag der Deutschen Einheit" (Day of German Unity) is on the 3rd
