We Marathi haven't forgotten it, we still use jawar, bajra bhakri (type of rotis) frequently in our meals. My father in law only eats jawar bhakri at home, never the wheat chapati or roti, and he is fit as hell.

I'm eating Sridhanya Millets (Foxtail, Little, Kodo, Barnyard, Browntop) since November-2022 & left eating Rice, Wheat flour, Sugar completely. I'm 66 years old senior citizen and experiencing amazing health benefits of Sridhanya Millets.

I quit wheat from last year. I only eat muti grain non wheat roti like most of our ancestors did. It's amazing soft and dissolves in mouth. 😊

In the video at 1.51 minutes, the research paper shown is from the International Crops Research Institute for the Semi-Arid Tropics, where I am a Scientific Officer. For the past 3 years, I have been conducting research and demonstrations on millet in Odisha. Odisha is called the "Mother of Millet" for this reason.

In my native, we still eat Ragi (finger millet) as a staple food. This is most nutritious grains as suggested by our parents.
