Показать описание
This video covers the continuation from GCSE Maths to AS/A-level Maths and looking at the equation of a straight line, finding the gradient of a straight line, the distance of a line segment and looking at perpendicular and parallel lines.

Students should make sure they are confident with GCSE Maths y=mx+c questions and questions involving perpendicular lines, students should also be confident with substitution and the formulas involved in this chapter.

at 14:10 how did you make the interpretation for a and b?

Not quite. Parallel lines would have the same gradient but no points in common as they do not intersect. Here the gradient is the same and points in common shows ABC are all on the same line.

For the first question could you also just show that BC is a factor or multiple of AB? If I did this would I still have to write down that they share the common point B?

4:10 what do you mean by they share a common point between two line segments

3:30 so saying collinear is the same as saying both lines are parallel because they follow the same logic?

Where could I find more questions like these?
