1:13:00 The method that sprung to mind for me was to use the fact that the line of symmetry for a quadratic is x = -b/2a. That way you could instantly find the horizontal distance to the turning point and also find the coordinates for the turning point by plugging the x into the equation of the graph.

I'm doing advanced higher maths and I just decided to watch this to see the differences between the Scottish course and English. I think it's interesting that that most of the exam is higher level (U do when ur 16 in scotland) and then the last couple parts has some hints of advanced (U do when ur 17 in scotland) which is just interesting as in England u don't do this exam until ur 18.

For question 13 c) You can just convert the cost=5/6 through cost^-1 to find the t value and substitute t into the x and y equations which would save you time instead of finding the y value through the long process of converting cos2t to 2cos^2t-1.
Note: Use the full t value through Ans on your calculator to avoid errors and to get the accurate x and y value.

You have a very nice and relaxing voice, my advice is to keep up the good work! In Q15 you talk about the period being unchanged, however it seems to me that the function is not periodic, so would it be better to phrase the reasoning differently?
