i still remember sitting this exam and checking to see i'd be given the right paper, it was so hard. and the second was even worst! the type of questions that came up were nothing we'd ever seen before. could have done no revision and got the same mark.

for question 6, if you divide by sinx, you dont get the sinx=0 solution. how on earth are you meant to realise you should simplify it your way, then again, its only one extra mark.

I'm still bugging, for question 4 b ii why does the smaller value of x make the expansions more accurate? I've never seen anyone mention a smaller solution makes for a better approximation

on question 8 could you simply work the question backwards by expanding (b+2)^2(3b^2-20b+20) and prove that it equals your equation.

For question 6, don't you need to add 25 to -161.6 instead of -18.4 because we are looking for the smallest value?
