YESSSS TYSM. I had this problem with this damn problem for months now lol. I knew others had to be dealing with this. Driving me crazy seeing this as the only update failing!

Thanks. I hid it as the first one was installed. Seemed sketchy, hiding updates due to microsoft's errors is really getting old

My computer successfully installed KB5001716 on 3/6/2024. The update then failed on 3/6/2024. It is still failing on my PC now. Why did it try and install a second time on the same day?

Yea, I had it installed recently, so I simply went through & used the Show/Hide Tool to hide this copy of it.

It's stupid that whoever at Microsoft that's responsible for sending out updates doesn't make sure that people already have the stuff beforehand.

this is weird, the same update installed on Dec, 20 kb5001716 and the same update installed yesterday kb5001716, microsoft really dropping the ball with updates

I tried the troubleshooter and even a restart as advised by another website. When I get back to my Windows machine I will try this.

latest update of hevc codec extension is also broken, now windows can't able to generate hevc video thumbnails .

Looks to me like on my pc. KB5034441 Doesn't come up at all?? In the update history. Maybe on patch tuesday. I'll finally be rid of it.

KB5001716 failed. Then KB503441 has fail since January.

0x80070643 error code for the current update. Updates won't install.

I uninstalled updates because my computer became slow. after that it was much better!

Microsoft should call their OS "Microsoft Broken" these days

If all else fails there is another tool to fix this problem once and for all as well as relieving some frustration at the same time.
It's called a hammer 🔨🤭
