Windows 10 Pushed update KB5001716 to make sure everything is up to date

Nice. Somehow this update showed up TODAY for me (march 2024!?) and cant install and now my windows update says error in updates. Cant install that update. It tries to download but IMMEDIATLY stops. Seems that it doesnt even try to download it. My network is fine, and install is one week fresh. WTF. Sry for my language but WTF? Why did it push it now for me? Why it doesnt install. It says error 0x80070643

I have been on Windows 10 22H2 since late last year. Still got this update on 10-5-2023. I am currently on version 19045.3570 Is that correct?

This update also isn't installing. I shows pending but when the Jan Security update fails? So does this one. I'm on 22H2 myself. There were 3 updates on the actual day this was supposed to update, but it isn't one of the 3. So why is it trying to update now? Because it seems the Jan Security Update is stopping it from installing as well.

FOUND THE SOLUTION: ITS BECAUSE ITS ALREADY

Go to settings, click apps, got to apps and features, scroll down till you see the update already there installed and uninstall it...go back into windows update and check for updates and it will re install it and then your done it will give you that nice green checkmark your waiting for. LET ME KNOW IF IT WORKS...WORKED FOR ME

i like a option like in win10 before what is similar to win8 settings where u could set in manual meaning it never downloads and installs it searches and then gives u list of updates and then u chose what u install, i hate that they removed the control

maybe there is a a place in windows where if u add that update name it sort of blocks it, no idea how to call it, either way it doesn't let this1 to be downloaded or found

My laptop with Windows10 often hang and takes ages to get updated and finally takes ages to restart and even after shutting down, the HDD indicator LED keeps running for ages even after the laptop screen blanks out

great video as always. since i instead the up date on win 10 now when I try to check good website I get blocked tells me to disable ad blocker I am using chrome any ideas would be a great help. thank you for all the video i watch every day

Help please. WHY did this 2023-10 cumulative update 22H2 KB5031356 appear TODAY, March 5 after 11:30pm Pacific time (was NOT showing earlier in the day) instead of back in October 2023?!! And in update history says fail and yet control panel, installed programs says it is installed Mar 5 date. I do ALL updates (except to W11) I've gotten and make note of them each week. This one NEVER showed in Oct 2023. Asus laptop from mid 2021. Install history says FAIL for the 2023-10 version of KB5001716 *BUT* there was also (after 6pm) a 2024-03 version labeled as KB5001716 too, which says did get installed. So the 2023-10 one is old? MS messed something up again?? Very suspect the 2023-10 version showed up only after the 2024-03 one installed. I went through Windows Support chat and got down to the person telling me repair Windows (fresh install) need to do. Not without PROOF the issue is with MY system first going to do that!

Found this lonely little update all by itself in my Add/Remove Programs list. In earlier versions of windows, it was typical to see dozens of these in said list, but that's what made me do a little research. Thanks for the info!

Does it mean that win defender becomes out of date to and then the sys recomends u get alt anti-virus?

You’re technically not up to date when you’re using Windows 10 instead of Windows 11 or newer.
