Im 15 and have loved learning about, helping work on and being around cars for as long as i can remember. This video is beyond inspiring showing that garage mechanics are still out there. This is the exact kind of thing i imagine myself doing probably in a similar setting. this video has inspired me to no end to continue my journey of hobbyist mechanical work. Thank you

Quite the twist really, usually goes the other way 'round. Interesting to see where a pulled/swapped Miata engine goes to continue living

Liking that 👍🏻 I’m looking forward to seeing more of this as it progresses. I’ve got an Ital van with a Vauxhall c20xe engine and I’m currently putting an MX5 engine in an Austin Somerset

Nice choice of engine should work really well .

Great stuff! I had a 1700 Ital about a million years ago before I got too deep into VWs to ever get out again. I've subbed to your channel too; really interested to see the progress.

I like that. My coupe has a fuel injected Pinto & type 9. You need to sort the suspension and brakes

I have only just found this channel, hooked already. Its something that I would like to do given the time, money and skill 🤓 I love the idea of upgrading thease old British cars tastefully to make them sleepers almost. I would love to see a moggy with a rover twin cam or something similar

Do you think the mx5 will fit in a 65 moggy with the same steering rack, above the trans ?
I am here in California, just picked it up 500 quid, no drive line !

I've got a mate who has a Marina Coupe rally car.

He threw away all the Morris suspension and put in Group 4 Escort suspension and brakes.

Then fitted a Honda S2000 motor. It was called 'Horris, the Maronda'. Did Rally GB National in 2015. Don't think it finished though.

Now it runs a 2.5 litre Ford Duratec and has been renamed, 'Forris, the Durina.'

It's rancid mushy pea green with a vinyl roof. Looks horrific, but goes well.

Great channel by a normal bloke! We never had CAD, plasma or whatever in the early 70's. Just the kit you're using and there was all sorts of stuff going into various cars with some great results! Once I see someone spending a squillion quid working in their space age workshops. I turn it off!

Thinking this might be a good idea for my MGB GT

How does the gearstick line up? I'm considering a swap for my MGB.
