"Duel Link Dragon, the Duel Dragon" was probably named by the same person as "Curse of Dragon, the Cursed Dragon".

The "strategy" with Afterglow is to have two of them in your Deck. Play one of them which shuffles one of them and banishes the other. On the same turn play Thunder Dragonduo and hope it survives until your opponent's End Phase so that you can use Thunder Dragonduo to place the banished Afterglow on top of your Deck. After all it doesn't have to be *the* Afterglow that was shuffled back into your Deck by Afterglow ;)

The Duel Link Dragon definitely looks like the sort of card that they would make a UR, so I think the fact that it's an SR instead really shows how bad it is.

With Giant Starfall, I immediately thought "hey this would be good for negating Apollousa or Accesscode Talker."

Giant Starfall feels like targeted hate for Apollousa.

There are so many worse SR cards in the Legacy Pack. The fact that Relay Soul didn't even make the *LIST* is baffling. Effect: Special Summon a monster in your hand, while it's face-up you take no damage. If it leaves the field *YOU LOSE THE DUEL.*
...Do I really need to explain why it's one of the worst cards you could play unless you're _trying_ to lose?!?
Or what about Perfectly Ultimate Great Moth, which is just Berserk Dragon with no effect that's even harder to summon unless you use a UR Insect spell?
Or Flying Fortress SKY FIRE which is a pain in the ass to summon, doesn't have great effects even if you _DO_ manage to get it on the field, and can't be cheated out with Dark Flattop.
Or Mirage Knight, who is a pain in the ass to summon, has nothing outside of battle protection, and has to constantly have its effects negated/have Imperial Iron Wall on the field to keep it from banishing itself every time it battles.
Or Gale Dogra which is just a terrible Dogmatika Punishment that costs 3k to use, doessn't destroy your opponent's monster, and is piss-weak.
Or Elemental Hero Electrum, which has no built-in protections, requires you to play 3 to 4 vanilla E-Heroes (because it can't be cheated out with something like Cyber Stien), and... do you really need to know anything more than that?
Or Goyo Chaser, which is a lv5 synchro with only 1900 ATK, only gains 300 ATK for every OTHER Earth Synchro monster you control, and while it can revive anything it destroys by battle... the monster's ATK is halved.
Or the Allure Queen/Dark Lucious cards which are the absolute worst LV monsters ever made.

P.S. Guess who has 9 Royal Finish Legacy SR cards including Berserk Dragon and Electrum, and 70 Foil Finish Legacy SR cards including SKY FIRE, Dark Flattop, Mirage Knight, and more?... *This* guy!

"hand puppet voice" But Dave if you have gear town and tribute and ancient gear gadget you get both effects with 1 tribute and then use 3 of the traps to target 3 monster to 0 and attack all 3 you do 8100 damage and banish if they somehow survive!

How could you miss the incredible synergy of Goblin Circus in the situation that your Afterglow is shuffled to the exact bottom card of your deck? /s

Whenever the goblin kid shows up in a card, you know it's gonna be extremely weird and unplayably bad

If you think about it, you could play Boogie Trap in pure Tri-Brigade, discard Revolt and either Kitt or Nervall, then set the discarded Revolt, the Kitt/Nervall should trigger on a new chain, winding up adding Fraktall to hand, activate Fraktall from hand to get you 4 Tri-Brigades in your GY, and you could easily have 2 Shuraig going second in one turn...

Wouldn't Giant Starfall be good so you can keep attacking into the 0 ATK monster for more damage?

Boogie trap was a card that i got on mind for a Pure Paleozoic deck as a Starter card if you have a Paleozoic Marrella, you can send it with Boogie Trap Discard and another paleozoic. Then Set the Marrella, activate Marrella to chain the other paleozoic in the GY and Special Summon it while you throw another paleozoic to the GY... So at least you have a monster, and at least two paleo cards on the GY to start xD

The reason Berserk Dragon isn't a Ritual, is because it's supposed to be a dramatic reveal. From a filler arch in the anime, where they destroy Five Headed Dragon, only for Berserk Dragon to take its place.

The reason the assorted Shark Extra Deck Monsters are Sea Serpents not Fish is so that the assorted Fish cards in the main deck that have effects that are super good for other fish don't synergize to well with the Extra Deck. It's a balancing mechanic

At the risk of sounding like the hand: I’ve never heard of someone using Berserker in Blue Eyes. Usually it’s turbo’d out via Archfiend Heiress searching the spell then using monsters like the malefics to activate the summoning condition. But, no, neither card should be an SR, and there aren’t enough level 8 main deck monsters to consistently resolve the effect, so it definitely hasn’t seen viable play basically ever.

Isn’t Rainbow Life a -2? The discard, plus the card itself?

-Activate Fusion Destiny, summon DPE
-Set Deal with Dark Ruler
-End of next turn, DPE is destroyed by Fusion Destiny and procs its effect, chain DwDR and get Berserk Dragon
... ... _synergy????_

this is such a good series. personally, i’d love to see the opposite of this (maybe like top 10 best generic n’s, r’s, sr’s, ur’s for example), it would cause a lot of debate (which is good for the algorithm i guess?) and would be good advice for newer players.

Rainbow life fits perfectly into a cubic deck where you want a lot of your spell/trap cards in GY and more often than not you take 3000 damage per turn if you have a cubic lord. So turning that 3000 dmg into health is a great deal.
