WOW!! SpaceX Makes History AGAIN With Starship's Successful 4th Flight - SpaceX Weekly #118

Excitement was in the air and SpaceX delivered this week, launching Booster 11 and Ship 29 for SpaceX's 4th integrated flight test from Starbase, Texas. Still, even with that taking place, the construction of launch vehicles, the new office building and another launch pad rolled on. Meanwhile, at Cape Canaveral, ULA launches Boeing's first crewed Starliner capsule, Starlink launch and recovery operations proceed according to plan, and SpaceX ships out the next set of launch tower components for Starbase.

Another GREAT report on another GREAT week for SpaceX. What a week! Maybe some custom tiles to deflect plasma around the flap hinges during hypersonic reentry? SpaceX aerodynamic engineers are probably doing the computational fluid dynamics modeling for that right now. 🙂

The way Starship continued to function properly with so much control surface structural damage during an early flight test makes me want to fly in that vehicle when the design is finalized.

It is so good to be able to follow Spacex construction at Starbase. The pile cap on OLT-2 is huge, being twice as wide as the tower column centers. And becoming clear where OLM-2 is to go. Minor detail is where the catchment pond for water deluge runoff is to be built. What is best guess as to date of 1st section of OLT to be erected ?

Looks like the location of the 2nd orbital pad means launches from it will over fly the 1st orbital pad and orbital tank farm.
