NPC Shiny Hunters in Pokemon

I have never had a uncatchable shiny pokemon appear but I can imagine that would feel pretty terrible! its pretty odd to me how generally NO other trainers have shinies, especially in the newer titles. it would make the worlds feel a tiny bit larger so its cool they exist in fire red and leaf green

That sightseer in USUM is too relatable. Whenever you find a shiny, one of the first things you wanna do is show it off to others. Heck, just look at how many people bring awful Pokemon into SV Tera raids just to show off the shiny they got.

Lol, there was also a shiny Espeon in Crystal. I know this because when I was very little, I borrowed my brother's. He was shiny hunting, so he asked me not to catch any Pokémon and mess up his encounters. I did the Battle Tower instead. I cried when a girl had a shiny Espeon because I thought we had the method wrong and that trainer battles counted too and I'd messed up his game. He laughed and explained that's not how it works and he wasn't mad at me, lol.

The shiny eggs are actually a testicle joke in japanese pokemon has been doing for 20+ years now, that never gets translated into other localizations. Basically, what we know as "Nugget" is called "Kin no tama" (golden ball) in japanese, it's also very round as a sprite in each game. This is because kintama(goldballs) is japanese slang for testicles. So yeah, many many games in this series had testicle jokes, like the trainer showing off his kintamas to you and giving you a kintama for beating him. Then there's Nugget Bridge. There also was another joke in gen3 if I remember right.

Honestly, I actually want a new trainer class called the Shiny Hunter just so I can see shinies in-game.

It is also possible to encounter a trainer in the Gen 2 battle tower (Crystal) that has a shiny. I fought someone in there with a shiny Kingler

In Pokemon Battle Revolution there's a Rulette Battle mode where your 6 Pokemon and your opponents 6 are all put on a spinning wheel where you have a chance to battle with the CPU's Pokemon and vise versa.

In one of these battles I encountered a trainer with a Shining Girafarig.

I remember seeing my first ever shiny in the late 2000s in the battle tower in Leafgreen and being confused but blown away. The summer of 09 I found and caught my very first shiny in Emerald’s Meteor Falls while looking for a Bagon, my shiny was a Golbat. I still have my very first shiny, it’s safely tucked away in Home but also in Emerald and Ultra Moon because I cloned it with the Emerald Cloning glitch all those years ago.
