Hello Beautiful People! Welcome back to a beautiful day in the garden! The Sun has come out and the rain has stopped and Im so excited to paint today!
The last pour I did, New Years Moon, I used Pebeo Iridescent Blue Black and in one section it was creating a beautiful shadow in between the white fingerlings. I want to see if I can make that happen again today, intentionally. Lets get started!
Colors
Pebeo Studios
- Iridescent Blue Black
Golden
- Paynes Grey
- Turquoise Pthalo
DecoArt Americana Decor
Satin Enamels
- Pure White plus
- Sargent Acrylic
Pearlescent Mixing
Medium
DecoArt Americana Decor
Metallics
- 24K Gold
Pouring Medium:
Mix Pour + Water
There is NO Silicone
in Any of My Paint.
Im using a 24x24 inch gallery wrapped canvas by Artist Loft.
I am also using a glass beaker by Catamount Flamewear. I used to use their 20 ounce cup all the time. Im not sure these are still available but you can search "glass beaker with handle" and find lots of options to choose from.
To find how much paint we need we multiply LENGTH of the canvas by WIDTH of the canvas and then divide by 28. For a 24x 24 inch canvas that means we need roughly 21 ounces to cover the canvas..
I am using drips that I scraped off my table as a flow extender.
Im doing a layered cup straight pour on this canvas.
I do a straight pour onto the canvas, with the intention of creating fingerlings. I dont like the very center, so I go grab my old Princess comb and wreck it across the center. I like the effect the comb creates, making a softer area to balance all the busy areas around it.
When talking about the comb I mention one of my videos, Hermitage.
