We asked 12 women of different incomes: Do you remember a time in your life when you weren't concerned about money?

Wow, this very telling about our society. We live in one where money is a constsnt concern. It is reality and a disheartening one. I think my answer is childhood. Yet, like several said....teenage years and adulthood ended that.

After passing the bar and becoming a lawyer, I stopped caring about money for a while. That was 2017-19. I started caring about money once again when my friends asked me to join them on an out-of-town trip. I couldn't afford that trip so I decided to save more money. Three years later, my money has grown 6 times ever since despite the pandemic.

Maybe when I was 5? But, I don't have very clear memories during that time so I can't be sure.

Caring about money can mean many things. Is this referring to caring how much you make because of status or caring how much money you have to in order to make ends meet? Not sure what the responses are referring to.

Watching such videos, I started to believe that African Americans are 50% or more of US population! Where are the other authnic groups which poorly represented in media and movies like Latin Americans and Asian Americans for instance

American people particularly obsessed about how much people make in a year. It's like categorizing whether they are broke or not. "Do you make 6 figures in a year or not?" I know it's vital to make enough money to have decent live standarts but it feels like in the US you get people's respect in contrast to your salary.

Yes, up until recently when I looked I wanted to get financially saavy. I have no student loans debts, father pays for my car insurance, and make at least 70k a year @ 26 fyi.

Apparently the more money you have, the more you are scared of not having enough

After you start making six figures you should be able to purchase daily things (lunch, gas, drink, etc.) without even thinking about it....just background noise in terms of budgeting.
