This can be depressing at times. The only safe media I have is anything biblically based and sports. At times, I just want to watch a movie with interesting concepts or a good storyline but it today's day and age EVERY SINGLE MOVIE/TV SHOW is built on wickedness. Its honestly frustrating. I called myself playing it safe by trying to watch an old sitcom and it was riddled with sexual innuendos.

Wow, this has been a huge conviction I've had recently... I am blessed by this video! Everything you said really confirms what the Holy Spirit had been revealing to me all along. I have wasted time watching trash shows (dating shows, reality shows) when I could have been spending that time in prayer, in God's Word, listening to a sermon. As followers of Christ, it is SO important we guard our eyes and ear gates and ask the Lord for wisdom and discernment in what we watch and listen to for entertainment purposes. If the devil can't make you bad, he will make you busy! He will use whatever he can to keep us distracted and away from our relationship with the Lord. What we do with our time on this earth is either feeding our flesh or feeding the Spirit! 💓 Praying for my brothers & sisters in the faith who also struggle in this area. 🙏

I do think there is time to take rest, to have leisure activities, to be entertained...joy and merriment. I don't think it is always necessarily meant to be 100% "sleeping, or working, or worshipping" 100% of the time.

But I DO feel strongly that our standards for what we take leisure in must be raised much higher. Absolutely. The language, the nudity and sexuality, the harshness of the content, the very anti-faith messaging...I think we need to fight much more strongly against these things.

This is a very good commentary, it is difficult, many people will not be worried about watching TV, movies etc which have the kind of sexualisation and/or language, recently I have got to the point where I have stopped watching TV programmes due to the blasphemy that has become prominent, along with foul language and nudity. Now then should we be worried about language, stay with me. I work with unsaved people whose language and conversation is very colourful, there isn't anything that I do that will stop them, even when asked they do not consider what they say as a problem, and aren't going to stop for me, furthermore, I would not expect soldiers involved in a fight situation to tone down their language when confronted by an enemy, they will shout obscenities and curse and blaspheme, but I can chose what I watch. I started watching Jack Ryan, which is great TV, it cannot be denied, I had to stop watching not necessarily due to foul language which we hear on the streets so readily today but because of the blasphemy. And that has been the case with many programmes the blasphemy is increasing, it is getting to the point that I will have to consider not watching very much TV at all, that's me, my choice, I am not comfortable any longer with the kind of TV that uses the Lords name as a curse, why has it become more prevalent, script writers make sure that it is used in this way. But it will be down to the individual, but this vlog has a point, and it is something that we all should consider, if your OK with it then that is your choice. But the content of many TV programmes personally is putting me of watching.

Thank you for this video. I made the mistake of watching some old episodes of an 80's tv siitcom and it didn't sit well in my soul and I knew what I was watching and did not shut it off. I heard the spirit telling me to shut it off but I still kept watching and felt condemned even after I asked forgiveness and was very broken by my behavior. The show I watched was one of my favorite shows and I just became consumed with it and was laughing at things I should not have laughed at. Thank you for this post! God Bless Your!

If you can't avoid watching entertainment watch Christian entertainment such as superbook, The Chosen (story of Jesus) or Bible animated stories

I recently saw a marvel movie trailer, but then I questioned my self after seeing all the violence involved and to think that people are amused by things of the world. But after watching this am going to avoid them...thanks a lot🙏🙏
