I gave it all up and avoid the ones that emphasize witchcraft or “gods”. It’s a no for me

“They have an agenda” absolutely correct!

I've never really been into Marvel, but from what I've seen and heard lately, it's getting worse by the day. We need to make sure that we "keep our eyes on the prize" and keep working toward our heavenly home and not dwell on the things of this world

Honestly, I just watch them for fun. Idc what kinda agenda they try to promote. I watch it for the action and the characters.
Besides, no marvel or any superhero is greater than the greatest superhero of all:
JESUS CHRIST

As a believer I seen some of the marvel movies but I never thought about agendas. My agenda is to be obedient to my Lord and Savior Jesus Christ we do have liberties in Christ however what's more important sacrifice or obedience so in saying that I I guard my heart and my eyes. I am sharpen iron and so it's good that you're helping us become more aware of things that we may have become desensitized to. Thanks 🙏🏽

you can, ive been a marvel fan my whole life an some have even mentioned and even have christian characters! such as the Daredevil, Nighcrawler, luke cage, and Wolverine from the 90s xmen show. Every episode with Nightcrawler in the 90s Xmen show has a christian message. (I think)

It honestly comes down to the person. Does watching it bother your conscience? Are you able to appreciate the positive aspects of the movies (saving lives, protecting the weak, etc.) more than the negative aspects? If you really are connected with God, He will let you know if something should or should not be consumed.

I’m a hard core marvel fan. I read the comics and watch all the movies but I’m also a teenage Christian. I’m not sure if that will get in the way of me getting into heaven.

Becareful what we let into our eye gates. But I agree if you do watch it just beware of what you're watching.

I think movies that show heroic acts or have an overall good meaning to them are fine

Yes because of freewill
, I personally wouldn’t watch them . If we are the body of Christ/ the Temple, we shouldn’t feed our flesh with earthly things but with the word of God . Protect your eyes ladies and gentlemen, don’t compromise with the things of this world .

Hey Brother. I haven’t had a tv in over 20 years. I gave up on movies, mostly just enjoy old movies but, I do read Marvel and DC comic book from the silver age. Modern movies gives me uneasy feelings

I felt so convicted by the Holy Spirit for watching Dr. Strange mutliverse of madness that movie had everything he said and more I hate that cause I'm a big marvel fan but it looks like marvel is moving further and further into darkness

I feel like it depends why someone is watching something. If they say like ‘entertainment’ and then they should ask themselves ‘why do I enjoy this? What makes me enjoy this?’ That’s my answer

What comes to my mind is one scene where Captain America, or Steve Rogers, says, "There's only one God, ma'am."

However, the Marvel movies seem to have been going downhill recently. By that I mean there is all this focus on alternate afterlifes and other "gods". So it might be best to at the very least avoid the new Marvel movies and shows.

Yeah, definitely be aware of the agenda and worldview of the creators. It usually gets clearer over time what they're getting at. If we ask the holy spirit, he will show us. No need to stress about it, if our heart is for God, he will make sure that we see it.

Some of the things that you listed are present but are merely the window dressing that is used to tell the stories, the actual themes and lessons from most of the movies revolve around heroism, love, self sacrifice, and loyalty. The lessons the characters learn are consistently postive, they just lean into the fanstical to teach these lessons

Like you said the 1st 15 minutes. They want to make what is evil acceptable. God can use it for good, for example, prepare for pressure and loyalty. Will you be faithful for the task you have been assigned by God? Good over Evil is a continuous. Not forever cycle. task. Everything is ssymbolic forsure.

GM. I am not a Marvel fan. But I did see Black Panther and enjoyed it. I found it empowering for women.
