I had all these symptoms start a few days ago and I told my parents “I think I have walking pneumonia” they said “Most likely not you probably just have a cold” last night I had a fever of 103.5 so I went to get it checked out at the doctors and found out I had walking pneumonia. That day at the location I went to they diagnosed 30 people with walking pneumonia. It’s crazy how fast it’s been spreading around!

Thank you for the lower-than-normal body temperature information. I have never had a fever that is over 99 degrees. Yet, while in my 30s, I had double pneumonia, diagnosed by radiographs, a broken rib from coughing, also diagnosed with radiographs, and "Mono" per blood workup. All at the same time. I once got pneumonia when I was like 10 years old. No idea how I caught it, no one in my class was sick, no one in my family was sick or have any history of getting pneumonia. No idea how I caught it but it was the worst thing I ever experienced because it got to the point where I needed an inhaler to help with my breathing and I had to be inhaling and exhaling some kind of vapor medication with that mask thing. It was scary and painful for me. I’m just glad once it was over and thankfully while I had it for a long time nobody else in my family caught it from me while I was sick.

I had pneumonia 2x last year after covid. The first bout started with a little cough but quickly my lungs began to fill with fluid. I never felt like I couldn't breathe but the bottom quarter of my lungs was full. I was wheezing and my lungs would literally crack and pop like PopRocks! I only had a fever for a day.
My 2nd time I had less in my lungs and they told me it was "walking pneumonia". That wasn't anywhere as bad.
