to shed some light on number 1. ive been testing this for a while now. (i first found this on release month) it can only happen when the person you invade hasnt entered that boss before. since these bosses have no fog door initially the game gets a bit confused it terms of invasions. an invader can invade right up until the fight itself triggers. meaning that so long as the host hasnt initiated the boss fight your free to invade. majority of these boss invasions you can simply bloody finger your way into the arena with the host which causes pure chaos. ill admit tthough ive been mostly testing the limits against fire giant. i hadnt considered renala.

I actually invaded a couple of people during the Radahn fight, after I had finished my own. Honestly, I always thought that one was intended, at least in some capacity. Especially since it would actually kind of make sense in the context of the combat festival. I thought it was just becoming a literal free-for-all.

I’ve had the boss invasions happen for Radagon several times. Really fun place to invade even if you don’t get a boss invasion. Very good for lightning ram trolling

Given how nice and respectful the host was being towards the invader up to the point when the blue came in, I feel like if they’d survived any longer the host might’ve sent the blue home to keep the 1v1 going.

I got stepped on by a mausoleum when it did a jump. I thought it disappeared like some bosses. I looked around, couldn't see any of his feet, and was like "I didn't know they could disappear too, that's weird. Never seen that befo..." WHOMP.
I guess you can only bonk the abyss so long before the abyss bonks you back...

currently one of my favorite things as a host is to taunter tongue under a walking mausoleum and fight there. Another one of my favorites had to be one random time when a particular invader got me close enough to aggro one of the giant prawns, which then suddenly grabbed and killed him right in front of me as I could only watch. and then run because I had no idea how to fight the lobsters at that time.

Invading Rennala fights, while rare, is some of the most fun you can have in Elden Ring. Always prioritize the phantom. Because I'm pretty sure Rennala can't hit you.
