Drone Footage Shows Extensive Flooding in West Virginia

Houses were washed away as severe flooding swept through the West Virginia city of White Sulphur Springs on Thursday afternoon, June 23.

any chance you will be doing a flyover of White Sulphur Springs and Big Draft Road and Fish hatchery area? I appreciate the post as I am overseas and trying to grasp the destruction to my hometown. Drones provide an opportunity to capture that photos alone will not. I have a Phantom w/ GoPro over here (Germany), I am curious what you are using and if you are rotating the drone or camera while hovering? Just learning myself so appreciate you sharing and look forward to more of your efforts.

I see the place has changed some the tractor yeah that grey one in the background how long has it been there ? Can you get on of those drones with a jet turbine to fly in bad weather ?Nice camera neat picture..

cool a drone with a swivel camera. I wonder how far can a drone travel without loosing signal.  This is the best and most clear drone video I have seen so far. I wonder how high up can it go.

I admit that I am not too familiar with the White Sulphur Springs area, and couldn't visualize where this drone was flying. I thought there were double train tracks through White Sulphur Springs. Finally figured out that this is the Rupert area, so the caption is not correct. It is so sad to see all this devastation in WV. Amazing how these small creeks flooded so fast. It's like flash flooding in the west.

great drone footage you're good with that thing, but yeah wow !! - build your house on a rock comes to mind, hope everyone has $ family or friends to help each other, as i know many don't which is sad :(
