Fallout 4's Next Gen Update Is A Bit Of A Disaster...

A week into Fallout 4's next gen update and things are looking pretty rough. Protect your mod lists, y'all! More updates have to be on the way...

I guess I just got lucky. For me on my PS5, the game is still running perfectly 26 hours later.

I really love this update so far. Really fast load times, better textures, smoother movement, and the tesla cannon.

I remember that video from like a week ago you had titled “Let them cook” as if they were actually gonna deliver us something good. How ironic that what actually happened is that they pretty much made the game WORSE which is an impressive feat in itself.

Bethesda needs a management change. They really don't know how to handle the scale of their company. Ever since they started to grow it started to go wrong for them.

Can you imagine in a perfect world. Them dropping the next gen update that adds graphical enhancements and properly integrated CC content. And a dlc thats set a few years after the ending of the main story that shows the changes of the factions and integrates into the show including the departure/rebuilding of the Prydwyn

I couldn't even make it through the intro. I got to SPECIAL selection and the HUD on my ultrawide setup was past the top of the screen. Couldn't name my character to continue.

Playing on Series X here. stutters, missing textures, and broken VATS - wild swings from 95 to 0 hit chance, and targeting enemies through walls - has been my recent experience.

At this point it’s so insanely frustrating dealing with bad launches, and even bad updates totally ruining games/franchises I love. I’m beginning to think this cycle will NEVER end. It drives me up the wall

What ticks me off the most is that this delays Fallout: London by at least another 6 Months... that expansion was ready to drop.

Another thing that really annoys me with this update is on consoles it nuked my mods, I don't mean they're disabled or they don't work, my library was totally removed (with now no clue what my old load order was as you can only see a few mods at a time when loading an old save), some mods I can't even find anymore on the store even though they're on the web saying it's available still. And even though their stated reason for not increasing console mod space was that they didn't want to mess with people's load orders (they nuked our load orders and still only left us with 2GB of space).

I just dont understand, how does Bethesda keep digging a bigger hole for themselves. It would have been better to cancel the next gen update then to release it in a state like this.

I love how they were like ultrawide support! Yet the solution was to just stretch the UI... exactly like it was before the update. They didn't do anything with it.

The bench press bug has always been there. I've seen it for years. There is no npc on the bench. The bench is just going through the animation until you or someone else uses it.
