This was a vote against the Tories more than a vote for Labour. The differences between the two parties are minimal. Labour will continue the austerity, continue to support NATO and Israel. Nothing will change cuz both parties are subordinate to the US and the industrial and financial elite.

He'll either do a really great job, or a stupendously bad job. There is never an inbetween, when it comes to politics!

As a cautious note of optimism. He appointed Richard Hermer KC as Attorney General. Richard has been outspoken on the issue of Israeli violations, and against anti-BDS bills, to the point where he became a target of the Jewish Chronicle (despite him being jewish himself), which if anything is a good sign. Of course this government has a lot to prove, but immediately writing them off as exactly the same as Suella Braverman et al., seems like prioritizing one's own cynicism over the actual causes at hand.

Honestly, if he didn't retract all the stupid austerity measures Tories implemented in these past 14 years, he would really fumbled this change

In this Brexit Interregnum Period, Labour has read the writing on the wall correctly.

The Labour “star turns” have tended to be centred on Tory-held South Croydon ward, supposedly a target in the council elections, marginal Waddon, where the local party has been in some disarray over the expulsion of sitting councillor Andrew Pelling, and Addiscombe East, where Maddie Henson’s seat is thought to be under threat from the Tories.

Let's see how long he will last...rather dull and quite delusional per supposed Mandate. But, wish the UK all the Best...they deserve it after 12 dismal years of the Tories.

Absolutely nothing of any value to the British people...and, by the way, calling it a landslide victory is frankly a blatant lie. Using the term 'POLITICAL SERVICE' is pure hypocracy on Starmers part and the Labour party's part.
