It is truly an amazing animal! Trowing fish to catch a bird? That's another level of intelligence!

I have been in love with these Orcas since I first saw them at SeaWorld as a child in the 70's. I don't believe they should ever be held in captivity.

I remember being extremely afraid of them in my youth. My mom used to give me animal books for kids and orca was in a few of them as a frightening beast. Then when I became a teen I read more & learned the truth of their magnificence. My favorite animal ever since

They're so intelligent, makes me sad how people capture them and put them in tiny pools for money.

I was fortunate enough to swim with Orcas in the mid 1980s in New Guinea. We were on a live aboard anchored in Mile Bay when we spotted a pod passing by. We only had time to grab our masks and fins and get to the dingy. We would have the coxswain pass by the pod and then we would roll in and wait for them to swim by. It was one of the most incredible experiences of my life. I never once had any fear of them as you could sense that they were not alarmed by our presence and would calmly swim by. Their eyes were what really caught me. Because they are mammals you feel a sense of connection that you donโ€™t with other sea life. They look at you as if they sense you are a friend and project no threat. I was young and foolish enough to try and grasp one maleโ€™s dorsal fin to see if I could get a tow but every time I got close he would just give a little flick of his tail and jet away. I watch videos of their hunting techniques now and just think how lucky I was that he didnโ€™t get irritated by me. The things we do when we are young and stupid.

The more time goes on, the more opportunity for more footage happens. Iโ€™m 49 now and when I was in elementary school and up to junior high, I filled my head with whales and mostly about Orcas. But Iโ€™ve never seen the videos of some of these attacks and hunts etc. Seeing this footage is incredible and to have it all in one video is awesome. Really puts them in perspective. Theyโ€™re freakin Incredible.

Their intelligence is frightening ! Using a fish, as bait to lure a sea bird into its striking distance, is crazy smart.

1992 I was up to Rivers' INlet in BC with a retiring friend....and a 12 foot boat. We went out without my cam in the early a.m. as the return plane was arriving at 10 a.m. A pod of two full size females, two babies longer than our boat, and a juvenile loomed out of the fog: the mom's went by us and we had to look UP to see their backs. Incredible.
