The way they peak out of the water to look at the seal is scary as hell

That's THE most incredible capture I've ever seen. That seal swimming for its life.

That seal managing to escape those orcas at the last second came in clutch, normally the seal gets killed and eaten most of the time so this was incredible to see it make it out alive.

Really could not believe my eyes. How the seal out swam a killer whale AND jumped on the ice flow when death seemed more plausible. Amazing. Thanks.

The capture and presentation of the hunt is equally as amazing as the hunt itself. Well done BBC, your nature documentaries never disappoint!

Glad to see the underdog "win" from time to time.

Awesome to see how smart both animals are! The strategy of the killer whales, but also the surviving technique of the seal is just brilliant! Great video🙌🏼

This scene has more drama than a good Hollywood suspense thriller

I can't get enough of watching this cat & mouse game between seal's & whale's.. It's amazing to see how whale's are soo smart in creating waves to break the thick ice to get their prey & how seal's swim for their lives to keep from being their delicious meal... 😆

You know it's good a documentary when you don't want the prey to die, but you also feel bad for the predator when it fails

Amazing communication and coordination between the Killer whales. Frightening to watch, gotta feel for the seals, that one at the end was a hairs breath from being dinner.

The key here, is family working together! They aren’t called KILLER WHALES for nothing.

Almost a "Jack Pot of 3 seals" for 4 orcas. And the seal that got away could feel his/hers HEART beating in the throat as this was a race for the life itself to escape and climb on that massive ice that is difficult to be broken by mighty orcas. Amazing video. Thank you BBC Earth.

Those images are truly breathtaking!! I feel pity for the seals, but I love orcas too much for the pity to last long...😅 So very happy that so much footage of this "Frozen Planet II" shows them...

They're so smart and so efficient in their methods that I actually start rooting against them for the seal to live. Orcas are so incredible.

Being a seal living in the artic must be terrifying
Imagine you're just chilling with your mates on a piece of ice than out of nowhere either a polar bear rips you to shreds or Willy and his gang show up to yeet you into their jaws

More and more, wildlife documentaries tend to show less killings and more escapes - so that the viewers feel happy!
What an era we're living in!
