The CAP enamel are ok, if you are using them for general fitness use. The problem is when you chip off that enamel paint on the handle. It then becomes difficult to do high rep work. This all depends on how one uses kettlebells. If you like a worn look, and are all about how your equipment looks, then of course the CAP enamel bells will beat up real quick, and real good. I have stripped the paint off of numerous CAP enamel kettlebells, and found widely varying quality, in the cast iron. Some were good, and some were not. One even had a hole and inch and a half deep, filled with something resembling wood filler. Would I buy another CAP kettlebell? Perhaps, if there were no other options available. If you are about buying the best product, for the best price, then you may want to head to Kettlebell Kings, or Kettlebells USA. These last two business offer the best kettlebells on the market, period, and the prices are not much more than what you can get shit bells for. The CAP competition weight bells, are not much different than the Rogue bells, in quality. The Rogue competition kettlebells, however, are not the best, in my opinion, for competition lifts, as they have a strange feel, and the beveled spots are not legal in competition, so if you train with them for competition, you may be surprised when the feel is very different, in a competition legal bell. The other thing is that the Rogue Competition kettlebells are made of cast iron, and the competition bells by Kettlebell Kings, and Kettlebells USA, are steel. But hey, if you like the Rogue competition kettlebells, then that is what is important, as people tend to use what they like. I wouldn't buy a competition kettlebell that has a closed bottom. At present there are options as mentioned above, which have an opening in the bottom, so you can see that they are single cast, with no filler. Another great option for kettlebells, is bells of steel, and even Vulcan kettlebells. There are many very good products on the market. Would I give up my old CAP kettlebells, nope. I like them. There are many better options available though.

I plan on either getting the silver enamel CAP kettle bells at 40lbs or the CAP comp bell s at 44lbs as a pair. The silver ones are 52 bucks and the competition one is 62 bucks. Would it be worth the extra 10 dollars for it being 4lbs more and powder coated? It is also for home gym use I have a pair of 20lb Walmart one that work well for for arm exercises but I want some weight (not to much ) for leg based exercises .
