Interesting advice. Very informative. I don’t do tempo runs, intervals, speed work ect. Instead, I do all my runs (including races) entirely on feel. It just works for me.

Great explanation. That's what the orange zone (threshold) in my GPS watch means, lactic acid building up. aka, putting real effort in. Thanks!

So I still got a bit lost towards the end there, and have more questions :(
1. Would your race pace be your threshold pace? Or if it depends on distance, then do they coincide for a certain distance eg you might run a 10k at threshold, but a 5k is faster than threshold pace.
2. Would you consider lactate threshold to be the limiting factor for distance runners, or is it your aerobic capacity, or something else?
thanks.
