Whatever happened to Camazotz?

Camazotz has recently been picked up in the SPL more and more. When the bat assassin got released into SMITE, he was considered rather weak. Pretty much out of nowhere for most people, Cama is quickly becoming a very popular pick. This video goes through the buffs that led to him rising up in the meta.

I was so hype for this god, the mayan pantheon is my favourite but weak or strong they gave him a really boring kit. I like his passive but from there its two lines for damage and a leap that for some reason is really short. like really he's a bat god and his mobility is half a xing tien leap and a worse Freya ult. can't wait for the next mayan to hopefully be as fun as the others

Camazots feels underwhelming to me. He should be extremely mobile and have an ability like serqets ult where he drains a percentage of health through a neck bite animation.

Amazing video! It was very informative! So what would be just an all around basic, decent build for Cama? i hope to adjust it to fit my play style eventually or see what works for me and what doesn't. :)

Hey Duke, I'm curious. As of late, I've picked up Cama (I don't watch the SPLs outside of worlds so him being picked more often is a surprise to me) but I noticed you leveled your 3 after your 2. I've always been under the impression that the 3 is a small tool for sustain and is just a "escape". Could you possibly enlighten me as to why to level it second.

Guys, some help with a counter for him?I met 2 Camazotz in Ranked until now (I just started playing) and they destroyed me as a mage.Any idea for specific counters for him and for Awilix, who was also mentioned here, ironically??
