The energy was transferred from the tennis ball to the ping-pong ball so that the tennis ball bounced back a great distance, while the tennis ball bounced back a very small distance.

As mommentum is mass×velocity the larger mass of the tennis ball gets more momentum and while transferring the momentum to the small ball it increases the velocity of the small ball in order to conserve momentum as the small ball is lighter.

according to the law of conservation of momentum, the total momentum in a isolated system (where there are no external force acting) of interacting particles is conserved, and initial momentum will be equal to final momentum. the tennis ball transferred it's momentum to the small ball and the system is now conserved that's why tennis ball didn't bounce that much but the table tennis ball did ...

As by the momentum conservation, total initial momentum should be equal to total final momentum as tennis ball has more mass and gained less velocity so in order to follow the law of conservation of momentum table tennis ball which has mass less than tennis ball so it must gain higher and velocity . Thus attain more height

I think that the momentum of the tennis ball was transferred in to the table tennis ball and the table tennis ball gained momentum from the ball and also from its momentum so the total momentum gets doubled or gets more so that the table tennis ball get the more height

The kinetic energy of tennis ball and ping ping was added so result in the increase kinetic energy helps the ping toh jump higher..

It is because of conservation of momentum, the momentum of tennis ball is transferred to table tennis ball and so it will go to a grater height but tennis ball will not not take all momentum bacause it is an inelastic collision of both balls.

Due to 3rd law of motion the reaction force of the surface was transferred to the tennis ball but due to greater mass of the tennis ball it does not accelerated whereas the mass of the ping pong ball was less so it got accelerated....

It's is work of Newton third law.

the KE was transferred from the tennis ball to the table ball hence giving it more momentum causing it to bounce higher

The tennis ball gives his kinetic energy to the table tennis ball so that he reach to a higher stage.

This is in simple logical science type.

Energy transfer takes place here
Energy transferred from tennis ball to table tennis ball thua it gained a higher bounce as well as the TT ball got a jerk from T ball .
If any mistake here help me to improve sir

Because the mass of the table tennis ball was not greater than the tennis ball and tennis ball have more mass so tennis ball transferred the energy to small ball so the ball attained velocity to equal the momentum..👍🏻

P= mv
Mass of objects increases it velocity and ceofficeint of resutition value of e also increase

Tennis ball bhi toh bounce kiya na...

Toh.. Shayad se... Tennis ball ki ucchal bhi mil gayi hogi chote ball ko... Aur uska apna ucchal toh hai he....

momentum depends upon height and mass😀
Mathmatically,
Momentum(p)=M×V

I think it's due to collision in opposite direction like small ball collided with the ball with greater mass which caused greater force and bounce back more??

The tenis ball conserve it's momentum and transfer it to the tt ball hence the mass of tenis ball was more and mass it directly proportional to momentum so it tt ball gain the energy and as it's mass was. Less than tenis ball it bounce more

For small ball with the force of gravitational pull, and the bouncing back of ball and the bounce of big ball gives some external force, and pushes the small ball too away..
