In today's 2 minute garden tip, I show you the best way to grow tomatoes. This tomato trellis is superior to staking tomatoes, tomato cages, and cattle panel trellis, and I explain why this garden trellis is the best way of tying tomatoes when growing tomatoes in your garden.

This video will show you how to make a tomato trellis for tying up tomatoes using simple, inexpensive items and why this is the best tomato trellis I've ever used for indeterminate tomato plants.

If you have questions about how to grow tomatoes vertically using this tomato trellising method, growing a vegetable garden or growing fruit trees, want to know about the things I grow in my garden, are looking for more gardening tips and tricks and "garden hacks" like this, have questions about vegetable gardening and organic gardening in general, or want to share some DIY and "how to" garden tips and gardening hacks of your own, please ask in the Comments below!

I lived in England for a while where gardeners are like royalty. One that I got so many great ideas from demonstrated how she trellises her tomatoes using the string and every week or so she'd walk out and twizzle the new growth around the string. Twizzle. Never forgot that.

Nice idea laying them on the ground. I use the string method on northeastern coast.

Hi! I like this idea. I would also really like you to demonstrate your wire and posts installation and also your trellises in the background. Like, when you plan a garden what supports do you plan along with the plants to support them. What else can you use this tomato clip idea on? Cucumbers? Thanks.

I started stringing my tomatoes 2 seasons ago, using your previous videos on this topic for great information. BEST method ever. I'll never go back! Thank you!

Just subscribed to this channel, and your main channel today. First, it looks like you've invested thousands of dollars into your gardens. Second, your raised beds look no deeper than 12 inches at most. Is that deep enough for most vegetables, especially tomatoes? I have raised beds. They're 24 inches deep, if not more. Yes, it cost a lot to fill them with soil but I don't worry much about having sufficient soil depth

I have a similar setup with the same tomato hooks. Have you ever experienced the wind knocking the tomato Hook off of The wire though? We had some wind yesterday and mine fell off. I don't have them clipped to any tomatoes yet though will the weight of the tomato pulling down on it help keep it stable on the wire?

Do you have a video on setting up the tall poles for trellising? I would like to use this method, but don’t have the set up.

Do you cut off the stems that are still touching the ground after you tie them up?
