I have a Yamee ebike with 6000 miles. Last week the hub started to sound like a piston knocking. I was at a stop light today and when I went to take off the rear wheel froze up. I watched your video then took the rear hub apart to find all three of my white plastic clutch gears were broken. I ordered them on Amazon and will have it fixed in two days. Thank you for making this video.

After two days of trying unsuccessfully to rebuild a motor I came across your video which is the only one that ever mentioned the little pin on the planetary gear set, I looked around and found it, put it all back and it worked, you saved me from a really uncomfortable situation with my girlfriend explaining how I broke her bike by fixing it lmao, thanks a lot !

I love my Rize X with hub motor. These videos are too hot. I watched a BUNCH of youtube videos and tried to learn actual knowledge. These Rize videos are just the Best of the Best! I am very happy customer, the march 2023 Rize X model is 2x better than the one shown in the videos!

Thanks again!

Put the nut on that axle before hitting it. You are damaging the threads. Every mechanic SHOULD know this.

Thank you for this video! As someone already pointed out, you are the only video that mentions that CRUCIAL little pin that locks the planetary gears to the axle. One thing that I thought wasn't clear and hopefully this helps someone else is that the pin doesn't actually go into the planetary gears, but actually on the side of the axle itself (it just pops right in with almost no resistance). If you look at the axle you will notice a perfect indentation for the pin which will then allow you to line up that notch in the planetary gears and it fits together seamlessly. Another thing I didn't see mentioned and this may be model specific (mine is a Himiway Cruiser), but there are thin gold washers that go on after the planetary gears. I had slight play in my axle from side to side after tightening everything back up, but I needed to add both thin gold washers very last before putting the motor back in the hub. Just those 2 thin gold washers tightened everything back up and there was no longer any side to side play. Thanks again!

Thanks for this bro, I needed this. I've have my ebike for a few months now, I brought it used and absolutely love riding. And have been looking into maintenance and replace of it because it's my daily commuter and working on it has become a passion project for me. I very had some concerns with the motor just because the bike hasn't been used for about 2+ years before I've started using it daily. Again thank you. I love seeing videos of guys working on ebikes. Hope your doing well bro.

I'd like to see a tutorial on how to take the center of the hub out where the wires are if the wire has been damaged just outside the bolt on this wheel

Trying to get a backup rear wheel so as one has a problem I'm still able to run the bike by swapping wheels and fixing the other one so there's less downtime if the bearings give out again

How frequently is a good idea to open the hub motor and put grease in it at the planetary gears?

You never hit the end of the axle without a nut on it. That is basic engineering.

Thanks for the video! Your instructions worked great for a Ride1Up 700 w/ a Shengzi hub motor.
