Dropped your ebike battery? 👉 Basic disassembly & fixing of a Hailong battery case

Did you just drop your ebike battery? I dropped mine yesterday... On to concrete for about the 5th time! I'm unfortunately clumsy when it comes to holding things. The good news is that this particular battery and case are pretty robust with the only side effect of dropping being the case falls apart!

Some of you might think after a drop like this, you have to get a professional to take it apart and fix it. Nope! You can do it yourself within 10 minutes! All you need is a screwdriver and to not short circuit anything while your battery's on the operating room table!

Thanks dude dropped my first Ebikes battery 🔋 lucky wasn't going fast my heart sunk 💔 will learn from this and make sure when sliding battery off rail set bike on its side to minimise drop risk 🤐

I'm considering buying a Hailong battery from Ebay, but I've been put off by potential fires caused by bad assembly practices or shoddy wiring. This one looks to have a better build quality, do you know if they are all like this now? Is it just old ones that weren't so good?

You should also stress that it's easy to pinch wires (especially in the screw holes) - or worse cut into them causing a short - when you put it back together. These batteries will literally burn your house down if abused or shorted.
