I really like how they portrayed Atreus in this trailer; we all expect him to be a killer like Kratos but he's not. He's a boy who's just trying to earn his father's approval, and Kratos is admittedly a very cold parent. Can't wait for you guys to see how their bond grows during your playthrough!

This game has the affectionate nickname "Dad Of Boy" among the community. Seeing someone with Kratos' literally *biblical* anger show so much patience with a child learning to hunt is surreal, and it shows an astounding level of growth on his part. The boy will grow strong, no matter how many graves Kratos has to fill to get there.

This was how the game was revealed btw. There were no trailers beforehand, so no-one knew this was in the works. The gameplay was done live by the Game Director Cory Barlog at E3, with a live orchestra playing the music that you hear in this trailer. It was epic as all hell, and the crowd noise when you see the Kratos reveal was something else. This game is also something else, a must-play for all the right reasons; gameplay, story, character development, it's all top-notch. And one of the USPs of this game is its no-cut camera; the entire game follows in what looks like a single shot, there's no camera cuts at any point.

Kratos surviving God of War 3 is given detail in one of the novels (if I'm remembering correctly) where it was revealed that Kratos was cursed to never be able to kill himself. It was hinted in the after credits scene that Kratos survived with his body being gone and all. This curse was given by the Olympian Gods, of course, as a way of never allowing him to be free of his nightmares (might be wrong with some of that so take it with a grain of salt.) So yes, this is the same Kratos from the classic games.

If I'm not mistaken, how exactly Kratos gets to Scandinavia is explained in a novel. I'm pretty sure he just kinda... boats there. It's still physically the same Kratos, he's just somewhere else with its own gods and rules and stuff going on. Amazing game.

If you ever want to hear something that give you goosebumps all over you should watch the E3 version of this trailer when they showed it live.
That moment when Kratos show up you can hear the whole crowd go absolutely insane. That Roar you can hear from 500+ ppl going crazy still give me goose bumps just thinking about it. Epic feeling

The hype for this Reveal Trailer was like beyond beyond.

I wasn't at the E3 reveal but from what I saw in the Documentary is that people went absolutely crazy and I'm talking about the good kind of crazy. ^^

I remember when this trailer was released and loving seeing how Atreus was portrayed. Playing GOW 4 was definitely enjoyable and seeing how the relationship of Kratos and Atreus unfold. You two should have fun with this so look forward to it when you get to it

The voice of Kratos is done by Christopher Judge. He played T'lec on Stargate.

You guys will love this one. Awesome that you watched God Of War stuff from 1 to 3. So you know what Kratos had been through, its the same Kratos(slight reboot of the franchise but continues his story). Much older and wiser. The dialogue, the visuals, the acting, the gameplay and the story is amazing!

When this teaser came out in E3 6 years ago, people lost their minds when they saw the Ghost of Sparta come back from the dead. The hype for this new God of War game was insane.
