That looks like it's the original Kratos after all. At 2:57, when the Spartan Rage gets activated the scar left by his final act on GoW3 can be seen clearly. Kratos body disappeared shortly after that final event so him returning was no surprise. I knew they would find a way to bring him and I'm glad. Now the questions are: Who saved him? Why? How did the world recovered from the loss of the Greek Gods? Did the Norse Gods used the vacuum of power to establish themselves and mold the new world? What has changed? Does he has the memories of his past? Will Athena make a return and go after Kratos after he denied her the power she sought on GoW3? Who's going to piss him off this time? How many family members will he lose? How many new arrivals will the Halls of Valhalla welcome? Side note, the clip where he hangs his nifty Axe is the Omega symbol, which is a nice nod to the previous games. Great reveal and a welcome change. I can't wait for more on this game.

honestly they'll probably do some last of us stuff like when Joel taught Ellie but you played as Joel until he fell onto the rod then you played as Ellie until he healed

Excuse my ignorance, but can someone tell me why? I dont see the resemblence between an emotional post apocolyptic survival game with an action adventure game set in a mythological world

I don't think it's his son. At the start of the video Kratos gives him a knife and said that the boy's mother wanted him to have it. Then Kratos asks the boy if he knows how to hunt (implying he doesn't know him well) I think Kratos was barely alive when the boy and his mother found him. They took care of him. The boy's mother died and Kratos promised to take care of the boy. Training and mentoring him, I think the boy will be the next protagonist if not in this game, the next
