How to Rig Spearfishing Break Away and Slip Tip

Just talking about a few options on how to hook up a break away, hope it helps those out there wondering!

Good video! What i don't like about that is the tripled up float-line connection.
When you shoot and the shaft leaving the gun it has a huge drag reducing effective range - especially with that short mono line, that giant loop will drag as soon as the mono rums out. I like more streamlined solution as the reason for the long gun is range, and you can use all the help reducing drag especially with only two bands.

Should the looped mono be connected at 2 points and should the bunge be protected against breakage by some additional line?

Would you not better connect the floatline with e.g. a SS shackle to the shooting line - instead to the mono circle on the (weaker) metal clip?

900 lb mono then conets it to that little swivle clip

I don't think a Snap Swivel and a Slip-Tip is a combo that makes sense. The Snap swivel will only withstand the force of a normal flopper. so the weakness in this system will be the snap swivel. AT LEAST use a pigtail swivel, best don't use any of this s**t
