Speargun Rigging, How to do it PROPERLY - Spearfishing basics

If you’re chasing after big fish in remote places you need to know how to properly crimp the monofilament to the spear. In this video I demonstrate the four most common methods of rigging up a speargun - single wrap, double wrap, breakaway and a reel gun. I’ve seen many people get this wrong and it has cost them the fish of a lifetime. Don’t risk it for something that could have easily been prevented. If you want to see more spearfishing basics comment below what you want to see.

Just rigged my first ever speargun. I went with a single wrap. I hope that's the right decision for a 90cm speargun in Ireland ?
The instructions where very clear. Thank you very much 👍
Going to try it out tomorrow.

I just wanted to say thank you so much for the effort you put into these videos! You're the reason I got into spearfishing and your videos are always so entertaining, educational and incredibly well put together. I really hope your channel sees the growth it deserves! It would be fantastic to see some more how-to videos. Cheers

Hey Daniel, just one thing you can improve in the break away sistem. The bungee! it’s better to have a shorter one (I use Omer, short, strong and cheap). The reason for this is just to get the point where you atach your floatline as close to the triger as possible, your gun will be more stable and improve accuracy, specially if you are fishing deep and the floatline is quite vertical.

This is actually really helpful Dan, these how to videos are really helping me improve my spearfishing game. I'm definitely rewatching this video next time I need to rig up a gun. I think your style makes is much easier to watch than some spearfishing channels as well, so thanks, as always, for an awesome video.
