no i spearfish quite often and most of my guns go up and around the line anchor 2 times...(5 gun lengths) or even 3 times...(7 gun lengths) depending on the gun with no issues (my buddies guns also make several wraps) although the more line there is the more likely it will tangle just a thought. nothing to lose sleep over just do whatever you feel will suit you and your style. many feel its a mater of personal preference get out there and be safe.

One thing I wanted to know, is there any issue with running an extra length of line? I know that it's normal to run the line up-back-up but would there be any issues running it back down and up an extra time. This would make 5 lengths instead of 3. Any opinion would be much appreciated.
