I’ve been vegan for 2 years & I’ve never tried vegan cheese. But I’ve just tried this recipe! So easy & delicious!

For a real "cheesy" flavour, you add nutritional yeast in the blend.

Add tapioca starch and or potato starch to make it more thick and stretchy. And also add nutritional yeast for cheese like flavor

You can also add miso paste, it blends well with the nutritional yeast, gives that tang also that some cheeses have. It really works, my husband loves it that way.

The most remarkable thing about this video is the "food processor." I bought one just like it for $20, including the hand blender with two attachments and the "processor." The blender was fine, but the processor? I had the processor replaced three times, just after I bought the set, until I finally gave up. Either the lid did not fit properly or the plastic in the blade piece melted or was ground - in the course of mixing flours! So hats off to the Chef for getting it to perform for the duration of this recipe.

i know this is a long time after you posted this video, but I made a dairy free lasagna for my daughter's birthday today and used this cashew cheese sauce in between the layers and on top. It was delicious! You really couldn't tell the difference. Everyone loved it! And also thanks for skipping the nutritional yeast. Who wants to feed people a cheese substitute loaded with MSG?!
