If HD2 is anything like HD1 the mechs will have 3 variants. The one we have is more viable against the bugs, the one with dual auto-cannons will be great against the automatons, & finally the 3rd with the flamethrower & anti-tank cannon is for crowd control. Each mech has their own durability & stats and the one with the auto-cannons is the more armored one to deal with the bots.

Be careful with your missle packs divers, Do Not turn quickly while using the at rockets. You will blow yourself up because the rocket collides with the mech model and it will instantly kill you.

Not my finding but passing the word, be safe.

Mech is a real savior during the extract. Its really nice having a callin to use during those times you know the enemy reinforcements will be guaranteed.

It does seem like it needs more explosion resistance against the bots though. And it would save it from blowing up in a single near hit self rocket.

Waiting for them to add night vision/thermal vision to helmets. There's so many ways to add options to loadouts.

Had it come in handy and nest extermination missions where you only get like 15 minutes. And you know you got to kill 10 nests. You can spawn this and running around the map and save your rockets just for the nests and save half your ammunition for extraction. The good thing about it is there's no Sprint cool down so you can continuously move at the same pace throughout the whole map and get it done in time.
If you're fast enough you can complete the optional objective before the timer runs out. But even if you don't, it automatically calls in the dropship and you get like 2 minutes to make it to the extraction which is plenty of time.

Its so cool and it feels pretty earned as the patriot exosuit is like based on our experiences fighting chargers to break armor and liberate with bullets with vehicle scale weapons and ammo pool. I wonder if there would be new repairshop POIs in the future that can rearm and repair mechs.

I do hope we get to customize some vehicles. Having a choice beetween armor/fire power/mobility/utility that is not set in stone could be a good bit of fun. Something along the lines of adding some upgrades or replacing existing gear on mechs, like reactive armor, additional armor plates, more powerfull hydraulics, shield generators, emergency ejection, a powerfull radar or a command post to allow you to launch stratagems on board.

I know this may sound lame.but if you fire your mech mini gun in controlled small bursts you'd be surprised by just how many bugs you'll mow down with the full stratagem. I know.its tempting to hold down the trigger and watch metter go brr, but its really worth a shot. Had a use of one where it pretty much ended when i had the next one ready to go. ALSO, THE WALKER CAN MELEE TO CONSERVE AMO AS WELL

I think the easiest balance for the mech is for it to just eject you when it's destroyed rather than kill you. I would suggest this for the HMG emplacement too.

My only major complaint with the enemy balancing is how hard rocket devastators hit with those missiles, especially since they fire in volleys. Maybe tune down the damage or range of the green bile spewers too, but they’re manageable for me. Chargers are ok too with a recoilless on the team.

I believe at some point we'll have ship upgrades to unlock that'll help make a lot of these current weaknesses way less of a problem

To be fair to the mech. This making particular is specifically made to trivialize terminids. There is an anti-tank mech that we're going to get soon that has four Auto cannons that's more designed to trivialize robots. We will get it eventually but for now we only have the terminid killer.

I had a blast using the exosuit, I hope we can get other variants as well!(one that could be better on the automaton side)

I had pretty good experience with them against bots so far, but I do agree they're fragile. I wish we could get a first person option because sometimes I literally can't see where i'm aiming once that gatling gun gets going

If there was a mech with an "ems" cannon or a limited shield generator on one arm it would give us a chance against bots. Or alternatively if there a "light armor" mech that trades speed and mobility for lesser fire power

It should have its own stratagem to call down ammo for the primary gun. I'm fine with rockets not coming back, they seem super strong. Just looks like a two time get out of jail free card. The cool down is already nuts.

Hi guys, I know is off topic but I’m wondering if I’m the only one that noticed a very high increase of enemies in low-mid difficulty missions. Like 12 chargers in search and destroy at level 4, or killing over 400 bugs solo in an average mission again at level 4.
And it’s not just the bugs but the bots as well, I’ve seen patrols of 15-20 bots at level 2…

I would love to have a way to resupply the mech. Maybe have a special resupply strat that takes another slot. Just so we can have a way to keep a mech player in the fight.
