In this video you will be shown how to find the composite function ff(x). This means you need to put the function f into itself.

So in example 1 the function f(x) is 5x+1 and you are asked to work out the function ff(x). To do this substitute x in one function to (5x+1), so ff(x) = 5(5x+1)+1. If you expand and simplify you get the final composite function ff(x)=25x+6.

In example 2 the function f(x) is x+3 and you need to work out the composite function ff(x). This time change the x in x+3 to x+3. So this will give a final answer of ff(x) = x+6.

If f(x) = 2x²+3
ff(x)= 2(2x²+3)²+3
Do we add square when x is in square?
