Learn European Portuguese with Music 🎵

Do you love using music as a resource for enhancing your language learning? These kinds of activities can be one of the most fun, dynamic and efficient ways to connect to the pronunciation and articulation of the language you are getting familiarized with 😎

This beautiful song "Saudade Saudade" by MARO is terrific for beginners who want to start listening to European Portuguese music because it's sung in both English and Portuguese, allowing the listener to understand the song's central theme. And none of the Portuguese words goes beyond three syllables, which is great to integrate better these sounds 🧱

Boa sorte e muito obrigada! 😊

Muito obrigada pelo exercício, é muito útil! It’s great that you use the phonetic alphabet in the subtitles, it is fantastic to work on pronunciation with! Not many other teachers of European Portuguese do this on Youtube so really appreciate it 😍🙏🏻

QUESTION: Jessica since the word 'se' in portuguese means 'if'. What does this sentence imply : Não se sabe quem se é.

Please do a video on the (se) when saying for example ‘chama-se’ OR ‘se-chama’ OR ‘se conseguem’. We don’t have this little add-on in English, so we have no idea what the strict rules are for this and when/how to use it. How and when do you properly use this? Some Portuguese speakers seem to not use it all the time, and some Brazilian speakers seem to put it at odd spots in the sentence. How do you properly use it in European Portuguese, and also, (what the heck is it?) 😆

Soa conhecido?
