I feel like Windsor Red(Naphthol Red) makes greyer purples compared with Quinacrodone Red, which is more toward neutral or even blue. Quin. red+Ultramarine Blue make GORGEOUS purple. Likewise, the Quin red + Phthalo Blue make greyer purples because of the GREEN cast of the blue(yellow+blue) muddy the purple. It might be helpful to recommend a cool and warm variation of each primary for mixing either vibrant or muted secondaries and tertiaries.

Very helpful video. One thing left out is lighting.

Thanks for the video! Do you use Griffin in the studio with or without ventilation? I have my concerns about breathing it in long term.

I like to work slow so I use walnut oil to keep the oil paint open longer. Now, I need to get my project out the door ASAP! What can I use to speed up the drying time? I thought of putting the art in a large baggie with some liquin in a container and hope the fumes would dry the paint. Any suggestions?

Hi jason, is there less pigment in the alkyd line compared to the originals? Or are they the same quality? Because i have seen the alkyds are quite less expensive

How long does it take for the Winsor and Newton Griffin alkyd oil to dry if a painting is done via alla prima? Also, is there a non-toxic alternative to mediums such as OMS, Turpentine, and paint thinner? I'm unfortunately very sensitive to solvents, even in well ventilated areas...
