The building has been around since 1890. Officials say no one was injured in the fire.

I visited the church in 2008. I sat in the seat and prayed. Very sad a home for thousands. My prayer is with you all.🙏🙏🙏🙏🙏🙏

I grew up in this church in the 1970’s when Dr. Criswell was only the second pastor in 100 years. I have thousands of wonderful memories of times of worship in this beautiful building. The current pastor and I were in Sunday School together as high school seniors. This is a devastating loss. I am heartbroken.

Praying for healing and recovery for them now. The fire is very suspicious.

Our thoughts and prayers for the pastor/s and congregation. Its a very sad day for them, but as the pastor said, the church is not bricks and mortar, rather its the people. God will provide and restore because He is still in control. In prayer for you guys.

As a former firefighter, I'm just very thankful no one was hurt. Having watched the world these last few years though, I just have to wonder if foul play was involved.
