Those "cliches" actually are sometimes necessary (however common) to set the scene of the situation. I understand the frustration but those things are what is common to the majority of stories from the woods/nature.

I know that "Everything went quiet" is an over used term, however the average person doesn't know how truly terrifying it is when it happens. Most people are constantly surrounded by background/white noise, the hum of a refrigerator motor, the soft buzz of electric lighting, the chirping of insects, wind rustling through the leaves on the tree outside. The majority of the time our brains filter out these distractions but when all of that is suddenly gone and all you can hear is your heart hammering in your chest so hard it makes your ears ring....knowing that what ever caused the silence is out there listening to the exact same thing you hear.... trying to be quiet by holding your breath only makes your heart beat faster.... lungs burning for precious oxygen... your eyes watering, afraid to blink as you scan the shadow shrouded forest looking for any sign of movement.... alone, isolated, betrayed by your own senses.... That is the absolute terror of "Everything went silent".

As an outdoorsman the woods going quiet isn’t a cliché, it’s a genuinely terrifying experience. Please keep it in!

I could see that phrase “the woods went silent” being annoying but that being said, in the situation I’m pretty sure that would be something that would stand out and stick with you. Just look at it like another form of “so and so - let’s Not Meet”.

If you want to phrase it a different way that's fine, but the woods going silent that's a very important sign. It's a warning that should be noted. This is especially important for city residents who don't spend a lot of time in the forest.

You know what the biggest cliches of all time are? I was afraid for my life but I just fell back to sleep. I survived something horrible, but I didn't tell the authorities because I thought no one would believe me. Cliche and insane.

If the story is true, they're gonna tell it how it happened. The woods really do go quiet whenever anything is off.
Not just supernatural creatures, regular predators. If there's a bear or a mountain lion, everything quiets down.

Let them say it, because if the woods go quite it’s a meaning to their
Dog man near by creates this quietness with no noise so it’s not a cliches per say..

Maybe the woods actually do go quiet?? Cliche as it may be, they're just describing what they experienced.

I honestly love your woods/supernatural creature stories the best and truly enjoy the scary ‘woods have gone completely silent’ because to me that’s a real story. Especially when so many others experience the same with these encounters. I can see why it gets old fast with you because you do hundreds of these but please don’t stop! Ur the best man we all love yeah 🥰🙌🏻🙌🏻

when you've truly experience it...when all life stops dead cold in the woods..it's never old.

I binge these videos a lot and no matter how many times the people notice the woods going silent whenever it happens it's the moment I actually start to get tense and spooked? It sets the tone really well in my opinion and manages to add a decent layer of scare to something that maybe wouldn't have made me as scared otherwise

What?  I love that part.  It helps set the scene immensely!  'The woods go quiet'.

I can see your frustration but this cliche exists for a reason. In the forest things going so silent is both a phenomenon that goes by the totally original name "the silence", it's also often the first sign that a large predator or worse is in the area.

Encountered it once myself, took shelter in some bushes and saw a poacher walking the main path.
