Just got this tv today and went to those scenes on one piece and it looked completely normal like your other tv

I've had the Hisense U8 since the end of November. I think the picture is fantastic. I have not seen this in any movie or game. 🤷

Damn, your S95D looks darn good now. Feels like you are enjoying it more now that you got the settings for it dialed in.

As for the hisense... my heart is broken.

I almost pre-ordered 😅 but I'm glad I waited for you on this. I'm ordering a 65in G3 today.

I see a little bit of that on gaming with my s90d...well more like intentional blur on A.I scaling....I hope they rework it cause it's a little distracting on my old games

Quantum please do a Samsung Q8FN versus Hisense U8N comparison video. It would be really cool to see first gen metal wrapped QLED versus current QLED!

Damn, I was pretty excited for the U8n. Wonder if a firmware update can fix this?

Very disappointed. Hopefully they can fix it with an update. Big fail on their part.

B just did a review video for the U8N 75 inch. Do you think the ads pro panel will improve/correct these issues?

Damn, was really hoping they knocked it out of the park this year. Again real consumer knowledge on this is appreciated Q. Thank you.👍

So this is the Hisense 2024 flagship model 65 inch..?
And it's much worse than the 2023 model it's supposed to be replacing?

I haven't noticed this yet in mine, but I get flickering horizontal lines that is making me want to return my unit

I love your channel and always look forward to your next video. I really hope there will be more videos on the 55 inch u8n because so far I have alot of problems with your current comparisons.
In this video you address posterization. In the first comparison it is clear that the other tv that you use - you mention it is the Samsung s95D - it's color is correctly calibrated but the u8ns color is way off. I assume you changed the u8ns color to make it easier to show the posterization issue, which I am ok with. I can't trust this comparison because its not a comparison of apples to apples. For one, the Samsung s95D is an OLED and the u8n a qled. Also the 55 inch s95d is not even in the same tier as it is around 2, 600$ currently.
I can Somewhat forgive the s95D being an OLED and in a higher tier than the u8n for the purpose of showing people what a tv without bad posterization should look like but not when both tvs are calibrated differently.
- What does the s95D look like with the u8n settings?
- Do Oleds show posterization the same as Qleds - maybe all issues can be exaggerated with the correct off settings?
- Would the U8N show the same level of posterization if it was calibrated correctly - even though you mention that posterization can't be
improved with any settings.
In the fallowing examples, you show bright scenes to demonstrate you didn't get a bad/lemon tv. The problem here is that NOW the tv looks correctly calibrated, the color look right. Which in my Layman's mind tells me that if the u8n in the other dark scenes had been calibrated correctly also, maybe there wouldn't be Noticeable posterization.
Please show me the 55inch u8ns posterization with the tv calibrated correctly.

In the last example, man, just look at how OFF the colors are on the u8n, all the white is bright blue! Though the s95D has calibrated perfect color...
I am sure your examples make since to you, your a Pro, but most of us are not. When you don't show examples of apples to apples, nothing you are trying to teach us can be trusted- it has little meaning. You don't give us anything to compare your findings to, so all I can say is, "well, he showed us examples of bad posterization but what does that really mean. For example, if you showed us a glass of tap water (the u8n) from your sink and said, "look how dirty this water is!" and then went over to your Fridge and got a glass of filtered water (the OLED calibrated) to compare it, what good is that to me? The two examples are from completely different tier of sources.
Like I said man, I love your videos because you are not afraid to tell us how it really is, BUT, all your hard work is for nothing to alot of us if we can't trust the examples.
Show us the 55 inch U8N compared to another QLED tv in the same Tier - like maybe another of the Hisense line like the U8K, U8H or even the TCL QM8, with as close as can be made possible settings/calibration, and Then what you are trying to show us will make sense, music will fall from the heavens, and the Hisense Stock price will tremble with fear!
..oh and please don't ever compare an OLED with a non-OLED tv. That just makes Lowsense.

Exceptional work, man. I know the fan boys are upset, but reality is key 🔑

thats that hurt... i was gonna ask if you think it was the bad lotto... do you think the 65 would be different? .... back when i had the H i found out that my dark neon blue's would be just glob type blotches, it didn't blend with skintones or certain colors just globs like artifacts, just 1 shade neon dark blue that looked ugly as it had no details in it, ....went to a store to look at their display and it was only mine.. thats disappointing coming from hisense..

I just bought an S90D and I'm really curious if there is a way to have separate Game Mode settings that will save to HDR and SDR independently rather than applying all Game Mode settings to the entire input??

Well, so much for what I was hoping would be an affordable alternative to an OLED for a new TV. T_T
