The master is back, the one and only Vincent. No other reviews picked what he has found and they’re very important finds. It’s been a long wait, Vincent!

Wow. US models don’t have Smooth Gradation and now confirmed no CMS, or 20 pt., and no co-processor.
You’re forced to use Peak Luminance Medium for HDR to get correct tracking, but it caps brightness to under 500 nits.

Sony needs to be raked over the coals for this. If they have no intention to fix any of these issues, then piss on them.

Lol.. there's that dry Vincent humor we all love!

Interesting that Vincent echoes what many others have said, that the LG C4 is the overall superior mid-range OLED TV this year. And based on his findings, I would agree.

Well, hats off to LG for winning this particular round.

Wow! I recently calibrated a 98 inch sony x90l and it had all the features missing from the model you have. I'm surprised a much lower tier model had all the normal menu options.

Vincent, you’ve read my mind! I’ve been watching you for years when I got my LG OLED and watched your review on it. I’m finally getting this Sony model. Thank you for sharing your review to us!!

Glad to see you uploading again! Now to wait for the BRAVIA 9 review.

Vincent going at Rtings again is him simply flexing and asserting himself as the most knowledgeable person in the industry. Rtings got a target on their back, and Vincent is the proverbial sniper.

By the tone of his voice you could tell his irritated and angry but somehow he keeps it professional lol

Do you would prefer the Bravia 8 over the A80L? If given the chance to buy either for the same price, would you get the older version instead?

Trying to understand the significance of this. Does this mean Sony has different levels of XR processors or that some TVs have the addition of a co-processor that adds more features to the XR processing? Very confusing and not unlike Sony to mislead the consumer. I can think back to the issues with Dolby Vision and TV and player lead processing to name one such instance.

Once again, Vincent discovers things most reviewers miss yet it's things a consumer needs to know before making a purchase. Glad you are back, sir. But now I worry about Bravia 7 and 9 hidden issues the rest of the world has missed.

This is baffling. All Sony OLEDs have had these features! Moreover, can't believe this is the first time I'm hearing about it. It's just not smart to buy a TV before Vincent reviews it.

So in order to get an “accurate” Sony TV, you have to lower the peak brightness to under 500 nits? This is like a paradoxical Sony tax where you’re getting less for more money.
